1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using GoodShare, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. Description of Service

GoodShare allows you to:

• Track income and expenses
• Create and manage budget books
• Categorize transactions
• Set up recurring payments
• Share budget books with others
• Export and backup your data

3. User Accounts

• You must create an account with a valid email
• You must be at least 16 years old
• You are responsible for your account security

4. Acceptable Use

You must NOT:

• Use the app for illegal activities
• Hack or reverse engineer the app
• Upload malicious code
• Harass other users

5. Your Data

• You are responsible for data accuracy
• You retain ownership of your financial data
• We recommend regular backups via the export feature

6. Shared Budget Books

• All members can view all transactions in shared books
• Members can invite or remove other users (with book owner permission)
• Your contributions remain visible after leaving a book
• Respect other members - no harassment or misuse of shared data

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to provide GoodShare:

• Firebase Authentication - secure login
• Cloud Firestore - data storage and sync
• Firebase Storage - receipt image storage
• Firebase Crashlytics - crash reporting to improve stability
• Firebase Analytics - anonymized usage statistics
• Google Gemini AI - AI-powered receipt scanning (optional)
• Google Play Billing - subscription payments

These services are provided by Google. See their Privacy Policy.

8. AI Receipt Scanner

GoodShare offers an optional AI-powered receipt scanner:

• Consent required - You must explicitly consent before each scan
• Data processing - Receipt images are sent to Google Gemini AI for text extraction
• No permanent storage - Images are processed in real-time and not stored by Google
• Usage limits - Free users have limited scans per month; Pro users have unlimited scans
• Accuracy disclaimer - AI extraction may not be 100% accurate; always verify the data
• Alternative - You can always add transactions manually or attach receipts without AI processing

By using the AI Scanner, you agree to Google AI Terms.

9. Premium Subscription

• Free trial - 30 days, no credit card required
• Billing - monthly or yearly via Google Play
• Auto-renewal - subscription renews automatically until cancelled
• Cancellation - anytime via Google Play Store settings
• After expiration - premium books become read-only (data is not deleted)

10. Service Availability

• We strive for high availability but cannot guarantee 100% uptime
• Scheduled maintenance will be announced when possible
• The app works offline; data syncs when connection is restored
• We are not liable for data loss due to service interruptions

11. Limitation of Liability

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.

We are NOT liable for:

• Financial decisions based on app data
• Data loss due to device failure or service interruption
• Inaccurate calculations or statistics
• Third-party service outages

We do NOT provide financial, tax, or legal advice. Maximum liability is limited to subscription fees paid in the last 12 months.

12. Changes to Terms

• We may update these terms from time to time
• Significant changes will be announced via app notification or email
• Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
• Current version always available at goodshare.app/terms/

13. Termination

You can delete your account at any time via Settings. All data will be removed within 30 days.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by German law. EU consumers retain rights under local consumer protection laws.

15. Refund Policy

• Subscriptions are handled by Google Play
• Refund requests must be submitted through the Google Play Store
• We cannot process refunds directly
• Trial period: 30 days free - cancel anytime before trial ends
