One paragraph

GoodShare is a shared household budget app for couples, roommates, and families. All members of a book add their income and expenses on their own phone, and entries appear live on every device, even when one person uses an iPhone and the other an Android phone. GoodShare works out who owes whom and suggests how to settle up. It also offers category budgets, savings goals, standing orders for recurring payments, statistics, and an AI receipt scanner. The app needs no bank connection, shows no ads, and stores financial data on servers in the EU. The core features are free, including one book to share with others. The optional GoodShare Pro subscription costs €4.99 a month or €39.99 a year in Germany ($4.99 or $39.99 in the US); when the owner of a book subscribes, the Pro features apply to every member in that book. Quote

“I built GoodShare because I needed it myself and couldn't find an app that was simple, private, and worked offline. Every app I tried was either too complicated, filled with ads, or required a constant internet connection. So I decided to build the app I wanted to use.”

Robert Miller, developer of GoodShare

Press release on the App Store launch

New on the App Store: GoodShare, the shared household budget app for couples on iPhone and Android

Starting October 26, 2026, the shared household budget app GoodShare is also available on the App Store. Couples, roommates, and families can now keep one book together, even if they don't all use the same kind of phone: entries appear live on iPhone and Android, and the app works out who owes whom.

Until now, GoodShare was only available for Android. The iPhone app works with the same books as the Android version. Whoever creates a book invites the others by link or code; after that, everyone adds their expenses on their own phone. GoodShare shows each member's balance and suggests who should pay how much to whom so that everything is settled.

The app also offers category budgets, savings goals, standing orders for recurring payments such as rent or subscriptions, statistics, and an AI receipt scanner that reads the amount, date, and merchant from a photo of a receipt. GoodShare needs no bank connection, stores financial data on servers in the EU, and shows no ads.

The core features are free, including one book to share with others, and joining a book never requires a subscription. GoodShare Pro costs €4.99 a month or €39.99 a year in Germany ($4.99 or $39.99 in the US); first-time subscribers currently pay €2.49 a month for the first three months or €29.99 for the first year ($2.49 or $29.99 in the US). Pro can be tried for 14 days without payment details. When the owner of a book has Pro, the Pro features apply to every member in that book. GoodShare runs on iPhone with iOS 17 or later and on Android 9 or later, and is available in 14 languages.
